Richard J. Shaklee
Richard Shaklee, Esq. was admitted to practice law in the District and State Courts of New Jersey in 1991. Following law school, Mr. Shaklee served as law clerk to the Honorable James J. Petrella, Presiding Judge, New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. He concentrates his practice in Employment and Labor matters, Civil Litigation, local government matters and mediation.
Mr. Shaklee represents employers and employees in Court and administrative agencies in contractual disputes, harassment and discrimination matters, whistleblower, wage disputes, restrictive covenants and other employment matters. He has served as labor counsel for numerous public entities including Manalapan Township, Wall Township, Hightstown Borough and Jamesburg Borough. He is currently Borough Attorney for the Borough of Roosevelt.
He also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Ocean County College, Toms River, NJ, teaching a course on “Legal Implications for Human Resource Managers.”
Mr. Shaklee has mediated disputes in employment, real estate, construction, contractual and many other areas since 2002. Mr. Shaklee’s other experience, as a neutral includes serving as a hearing officer in employee disciplinary matters.
